Description

The DEWALT 4-1/2″ x 7/8″ 80-Grit Type 29 HP Flap Disc (Model DW8309 or DWA8208) is a high-performance (HP) finishing disc. While the 40-grit is for “stripping” and the 60-grit is “multi-purpose,” the 80-grit is specifically designed for refining and smoothing.
FEATURES

• Size (4-1/2″): Standard diameter for small angle grinders.
• Arbor (7/8″): A smooth, unthreaded bore. Requires the grinder’s backing flange and lock nut for installation.
• Grit (80G): A fine-medium grit. It is used to remove the deep scratches left by coarser discs and to prepare metal for final finishing or high-quality paint.
• Type 29 (Conical): The tapered shape is angled at 15∘ to 25∘, directing more pressure onto the workpiece for efficient surface blending and edge work.
